Vivid Luna Park Wedding at Crystal Palace with a Surprise Message

      ELIE & EMILY

Elie & Emily’s ceremony, worthy of royalty, was held at St Mary’s Cathedral. “Every time we went to the cathedral in the lead-up to the wedding, it took our breath away,” Emily described. “On the day, it was amazing to share our marriage with all of our friends and family in one of the most beautiful places!” Keeping with timeless elegance, Emily was dressed in an intricately detailed Steven Khalil gown.

As if the ceremony wasn’t dazzling enough, the reception transported guests to the fantastical atmosphere of Luna Park. All of the breathtaking harbour views, along with every special moment, were captured by Simon Gorges. “He did such a great job of taking candid photographs that really captured the essence of the day,” praised the bride. “I like that he took inspiration on the day to make unique photographs. Simon made us feel very comfortable and we loved all the pictures we received.”

The best moment of the night was during Elie’s speech when he announced to our family and friends that we were expecting our first child!

Emily and Elie sought out Diane Khoury from DK Weddings and Events to style and coordinate the wedding, “We felt completely relaxed; we just got to enjoy ourselves knowing that everything was taken care of,” noted Emily. The venue was classically styled in mostly white, with gold accents and hints of greenery that contrasted against the plethora of white flowers.

As a nod to their different heritages, the couple had both Australian and Lebanese live bands, “Our reception really brought our two families together,” Emily noted of the party. “A few times during the night I looked to realise that every single person was on the dance floor, which was wonderful as it was really important to us that the night was enjoyable for everyone.”
