Jackson & Rachel | Classic Miramare Gardens Wedding

It was love at first sight for Rachel and Jackson who met through their cousins on a church harbour cruise. From that moment forth, the two felt at home in each others company, and their shared interests and values saw them embark on a magical and romantic love affair that was made official as they exchanged vows in an elegant ceremony held at Our Lady of Lebanon Co-Cathedral in Harris Park. The venue was the perfect location for their union because both Rachel and Jackson had been baptized in the church.

Jackson’s delightfully imaginative and romantic proposal included many of their loved ones as he had them hand her letters written about significant moments they had shared at various train stops around a park until her final destination, him, where he was waiting on one knee. It was obvious that the answer would be yes.

Rachel and Jackson chose to share their union with their friends and family in a relaxed yet elegant setting. The romance was the theme of the day, which was presented in beautiful décor. The white and blush colour palette fits the summer wedding perfectly and brought a freshness to the ambience. Floral arrangements made up of Columbian roses, hydrangeas, phalaenopsis orchards and dahlias adorned all of the tables, and a floral canopy covered the dancefloor. Blush drapery set the backdrop for the bridal table. Whit gloss tables and dancefloor brought a sense of elegance complimented by Chanel and tiffany chairs and table cloths that alternated blush and champagne colours.

Rachel was a stunning bride dressed in a classic style custom Steven Khalil gown. Vintage Dior ball gowns inspired Rachel’s classic style with a full-bodied skirt and fitted bodice. The gown was a silk Mikado with floral embroidery hand appliques. Jackson complimented his stunning bride looking handsome as ever in a Ron Bennet three-piece dinner suit.

The 45-minute traditional Maronite Catholic ceremony was followed by a beautifully decorated and sophisticated reception at Miramare Gardens, Terrey Hills. The venue was chosen for several reasons, namely its capacity to hold more than 500 guests comfortably. As large as this wedding was, it was a wonderful day celebrated amidst lush green gardens and trees visible from inside the reception hall through floor to ceiling windows.

The entire day was captured by Simon and his crew who effortlessly and without staging a single shot, gave Rachel and Jackson the most natural and candid photographs to cherish forever. Rachel chose him for his natural style and was very pleased with the results. Rachel said he was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end and she was happily surprised that within two weeks she could see a beautiful online album of her special day and the love that was felt by all. His natural style truly captured the real emotions and enjoyment of the event, which is exactly what Rachel had wanted as her keepsake from her wedding.
